CAMPAIGN: White Night Ballarat

White Night is an evening festival of illumination, drawing tens of thousands of art lovers to cities across the world. 

On the first day of winter, White Night took place in Ballarat, Victoria, attracting a record-breaking 65,000 people to the regional city who came to experience the heritage streetscapes across the CBD illuminated by projections, lasers and moving image. Local businesses and hospitality ventures were at capacity and the boost to the local economy exceeded expectations in the current climate.

The brief for White Night Ballarat 2024 was to capture the vibrancy of the event as well as lead in content to entice art lovers to the city in advance of the major cultural activity.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Video content to be used across social media platforms and for editorial use to generate awareness of White Night Ballarat in the lead up to the free event.

  • Fast turnaround of content, delivering a showreel within 9 hours of the event finishing (next morning, 9am delivery).

  • Fast approval across government organisations and communication with media advisors and event management on delivered content.

Coordination of interviews with artists, including interviewing talent.
